DepEd and TESDA’s Learning Visit to Don Bosco Technical Institute Makati

In line with the forum “𝙎𝙝𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙨𝙚𝙩: 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙚𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙏𝙑𝙀𝙏 𝙞𝙣 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝘼𝙨𝙞𝙖,” representatives from the Department of Education (DepEd), Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) visited Don Bosco Technical Institute of Makati on November 22, 2024

This learning visit provided participants with a firsthand view of successful technical and vocational education and training (TVET) programs in action. Don Bosco Technical Institute is recognized for its outstanding contributions to TVET, offering a blend of academic rigor and practical skills development that aligns with industry demands.

The visit aimed to inspire fresh approaches in promoting TVET as a viable and prestigious career path for the youth. By showcasing Don Bosco’s innovative programs and robust industry partnerships, the initiative sought to highlight how TVET can equip students with employable skills and contribute to economic development. Participants expressed optimism about adopting similar models across Southeast Asia to reshape perceptions of vocational education and empower the next generation to thrive in technical fields.
