New partnership begins with Don Bosco-One TVET Philippines, Inc. and Petron Foundation

A final review of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for a new partnership between Don Bosco-One TVET Philippines, Inc. and Petron Foundation happened on October 26, 2023, at Don Bosco Technical Institute of Makati.

The MOA outlines the fast-track training programs for all mechanics of Petron Stations nationwide, as well as the roles and responsibilities of each partner, the budget and resources allocation, the monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, and the expected outcomes and impact of the partnership. The partnership aims to enhance the skills, knowledge, and competencies of the mechanics working in Petron Stations. This will improve their performance, productivity, and customer satisfaction. The partnership also aims to increase the employability, income, and career opportunities of the mechanics. This will contribute to their personal and professional development, as well as to the economic and social development of their communities.

The meeting was attended by representatives from both organizations who discussed the details and objectives of the collaboration. (Technical Director of Don Bosco Tondo), Representatives from Petron Trainings, Ms. Jonafe Travero (Project Coordinator of Don Bosco Tondo), Mr. Vergel De Guzman (Petron Trainings), Mr. Johnnie Santos (Technical Director of Don Bosco Makati), Ms. Ma. Victoria J. Salazar (External Relations Officer of Don Bosco Makati), Mr. Jeffrey Andrada (Automotive Shop Head, Evening Class of Don Bosco Makati), and Mr. Robert Geronimo (External Relations Officer of Don Bosco-One TVET Philippines).

The partnership will start at the latter part of this year piloting in Don Bosco Makati and Don Bosco Tondo and eventually will expand throughout Don Bosco TVET centers nationwide. About 1,800 Petron stations will be served by the partnership.
